Lori K. Shemtob Named Among Ten Leaders in Matrimonial & Divorce Law

Family law attorney recognized among leading attorneys in Greater Philadelphia area

BLUE BELL, Pa. (January 2018) – Pennsylvania family law firm Shemtob Law is pleased to announce that founding partner Lori K. Shemtob once again has been named among the Ten Leaders of Greater Philadelphia in Matrimonial & Divorce Law. She has been named among Ten Leaders since 2008.

Founded in 2002, the Ten Leaders Cooperative aims to spotlight experienced and qualified professionals in medicine, the law, finance, architecture, and technology. Members are added to Ten Leaders based on length of practice, focus of practice and out-of-firm peer referrals.

Shemtob concentrates her practice exclusively on divorce and family law, including matters of equitable distribution, alimony, child custody, child and spousal support, prenuptial agreements, and property settlement agreements. She is an experienced litigator, having handled hundreds of divorce and related matters over the course of her 25 years in practice.

In addition to being named among Ten Leaders, Shemtob has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer repeatedly since 2006. She also is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), a national honor bestowed on fewer than 75 lawyers in Pennsylvania. She has served as secretary of the Pennsylvania chapter of the AAML and currently serves as the organization’s Second Vice-President.  Shemtob is one of only 14 lawyers in Pennsylvania certified by the AAML as a family law arbitrator. She is also a family law mediator.

A cum laude graduate of Temple University School of Law, Shemtob received her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts.
